Oscar-winning actress and fitness enthusiast Halle Berry collaborated with global fitness and lifestyle brand Sweaty Betty to present a limited edition twenty-two piece collection. According to a press release sent to BLACK ENTERPRISE. The rē∙spin Edit, which is inspired by boxing and Japanese jiu-jitsu, features a mix of technical and lifestyle pieces for the woman who does it all. Training shorts, leggings, a spilt back t-shirt, and parka jacket are among items which are crafted from high-performance fabrics. The collection is said to feature sculptural silhouettes, with raw edges, strapping, and modal slit detailing in a timeless tonal color palette of deep blacks, shaded greys and soft creams.
“Each piece is reflective of Berry’s personal style and offers wearers a flattering fit while retaining its fashion appeal; highlighting the multifaceted yet practical appeal seen throughout,” the press release said.
Berry created a digital health and wellness community called rē∙spin last year. The announcement also stated that Berry launched it in 2020 as an accessible and resourceful
destination for conversation, connection, and discovery. rē∙spin’s website explains that the journey began because Berry was diagnosed with diabetes at 22 years old. Afterwards, she was inspired through her own health transformation and desire to connect with others through health, wellness, and spirituality.Working with Berry to create The rē∙spin Edit marked London-based Sweaty Betty’s very first U.S. celebrity collaboration. According
to the announcement, Berry and Sweaty Betty were drawn to work together because Sweaty Betty’s mission of empowering women through fitness aligns perfectly with rē∙spin’s commitment to inspiring people on their path to empowerment through their physical and mental wellbeing.“I’m excited to launch my first activewear collection in collaboration with Sweaty Betty”, Berry said in the press release. “Sweaty Betty was the first brand that came to mind—they know how to make technical activewear that not only looks great, but also truly performs. I love their mission to inspire and empower women to live an active life, as well as the value they place in community—a mission we share at rē∙spin.”
Berry recently told her Instagram followers about the collaboration while wearing a piece from The rē∙spin Edit’s collection. Berry also mentioned that Sweaty Betty is a female-owned brand that she has loved for many years and the collaboration felt authentic and natural.
“Check out the link in my bio to get pieces I know you’ll love,” Halle said on her Instagram page.
