Google introduced Google+ Communities, a new

service for the social networking users, yesterday. The fastest-growing network promises users it will be “a gathering place for your passion.” The new hubs allow users to discuss specific topics such as business, food, art and music in private and public groups, similar to Facebook groups.

The feature permits users to discuss interests and locate other members with similar passions. It also provides a platform to share and coordinate events with other community members.

All registered Google+ users can create a public or private community by visiting the Google+ Communities page.
