It’s officially a wrap on the first day of Black Enterprise’s Golf & Tennis Challenge, and it was epic.
The energy at the PGA National Resort & Spa, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida was electric, as executives, influencers, friends, and family filed in for a weekend of golf, tennis, games, music, and most importantly–fun!
Day one kicked off and set the tone for the Challenge with high-spirited competition on the golf course, brought on by a tournament and VIP golf outing, sponsored by Lexus. The likes of Flex Alexander, Chris Spencer, Penny Hardaway, and more took to 18 holes to find out who could own bragging rights as the best golfer for 2016. As suspected, Hardaway owned them all.
Following the tournament, attendees set out to experience West Palm Beach by way of food, drinks, and shopping with the Taste of CityPlace tour, hosted by Discover The Palm Beaches. Lucky attendees headed over to CityPlace to enjoy a mix of over 80 national stores, specialty shops, bars, and restaurants, including II Bellagio, Blue Martini, Brother Jimmy’s BBQ, Burger and Beer Joint, and more.
With full bellies and good vibes, attendees headed out to party down at the Hawaiian-themed “Livin the Luau Life,” hosted by Prudential, where hula dancers amped up the crowd for the legendary MC Lyte, to take it away and force attendees to party til they dropped.
Keep in mind that this was only day one. Stay tuned for what’s to come!
