Olamiran is the founder and CEO of Nigerian gaming company Gamsole, which boasts more than 9 million downloads.
“Gaming is still a nascent industry in Africa,” Olaniran said in a recent interview. “Due to the high rate of mobile device penetration, mobile can serve as a converging point for both casual and hardcore gamers.”
“African-themed games can be the future of gaming if people can relate with the content on a personal basis, based on their daily life experiences,” he continued. “This is one way to push adoption of games in Africa.”
