Give1 Project to Host Inaugural Women’s Leadership Conference in Dakar
Whether in Nigeria, Nicaragua or the United States, many of the challenges—and rewards—encountered by women remain the same. In order to provide a platform for global women to network, engage and connect, the Give 1 Project will host its inaugural Women’s Leadership Conference in Dakar, Senegal March 21-30. The Give1 Project is a global organization that aims to engage young people as leaders in creating and building strong and healthy communities.
The vision of the conference is to bring powerful, diverse women from around the world who are current and future leaders with a powerful message and/or story. Additionally, the Women’s Empowerment Conference will afford attendees an opportunity to experience West African culture in its entirety. From music and art to opportunities for business investments, this experience is a once in a lifetime opportunity. The summit will also include workshops such as: “Investing in Africaâ€, “Women in Leadership Seminarâ€, and the “State of Affairs for Women in Africa†and “The Importance of Global Fluency Panel.”
The Give1 Project founder Thione Niang‘s work continues to emphasize how imperative it is for global leaders to leverage their talent and energy to create dramatically higher levels of prosperity and equality across the globe. Most recently, Niang traveled to Benin to strengthen the leadership and increase the empowerment and community engagement of 60 young Beninese women in order to impact them to solve problems in their respective communities.
