Details emerging from a Las Vegas Police Department arrest report obtained by CBS News outline a plot orchestrated over several months between Comanche, 27, and his alleged accomplice and girlfriend, 19-year-old Sakari Harnden.
According to the
report, Comanche confessed on Dec. 15 to the murder of Rodgers, revealing that he and Harndon strangled her inside Harndon’s vehicle. Text messages presented in the report expose a sinister plan to lure Rodgers away from her friends, ending in her tragic demise.The report discloses that Comanche allegedly used an HDMI cord to carry out the gruesome act after falsely inviting Rodgers under the pretext of a double prostitution meet-up. The investigation
suggests that the murder occurred shortly after the Stockton Kings played the G League Ignite in Las Vegas on Dec. 5. Subsequent to Comanche’s confession, detectives were able to locate Rodgers’ remains in a Las Vegas suburb.Arrested at the Stockton Kings’ practice facility on Dec. 15, Comanche appeared in a Sacramento County courtroom on Tuesday, Dec. 19. Having waived his extradition rights, he is poised to be transported from Sacramento to Clark County, Nevada, where the legal proceedings will unfold. Las Vegas police apprehended Harnden on Dec. 13.
