April 14 has been marked as equal pay day in an effort to call attention to the wage gap that still exist amongst men and women in the workforce. While studies show that women comprise 47 percent of the U.S. labor force and are projected to account for 51 percent of the increase in total labor force growth between 2008 and 2018, it’s been revealed that women still earn less than men even when working in the same industry.
Time.com released a list of career fields in which women are the most underpaid and below are the top five industries that led the list.

Securities, commodities, and financial services sales agent:
Percent of women in field: 30
Median earnings for men: $93,795
Median earnings for women: $51,284
Percent women’s earnings to men: 54.7
