Late yesterday evening the House of Representatives came to a decision to pass legislation that would avoid an increase in taxes on most Americans and decrease spending in the government.
The decision was approved 257 to 167, with most Democrats supporting the bill.
The bill proposed will only increase taxes on the wealthy. This includes individuals who make $400,000 or couples who make $450,000 in a household. Now that the bill has been passed it will go to President Obama to be signed.
