Although the group is not a household name, McDonald feels its popularity growing. “Although our community may not know this organization exists, people are always intrigued once they do learn of us,†he says. With continued growth and education, McDonald has high hopes for what African Americans will bring to the environmental movement: “Our involvement could add something of substance to this world as we are an innovative and creative people that our environment could truly benefit from.â€
