Link Between Early Baldness and Prostate Cancer for Black Men

Young African-American men that are balding have a higher risk of prostate cancer earlier, according to new study.

Researchers at the University of Pennsylvania worked with 537 African-American men and concluded that men under 60 years of age, with frontal baldness were diagnosed more frequently with an aggressive form of prostate cancer.

Previous studies have mixed conclusions. Many have shown similar results and others showed no connection between baldness and prostate cancer. The University of Pennsylvania is the first study to look only at African American men.
