According to HipHopDX, Former NWA member and multi-platinum producer, Dr. Dre, has started a school with his Beats By Dre partner, music executive, Jimmy Iovine.
Last year, the duo had given the University of Southern California a $70 million endowment and with those funds, the Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy for Arts, Technology, and the Business of Innovation was created. It’s being reported that the program accepts around 25-30 students per year and is already halfway through its first semester. Courses offered at the college include computer science, audio production and graphic design, among others.
Just earlier this year, Dre and Iovine sold Beats Electronics to Apple for $3 Billion and will join the Apple team.
