Disney Pays Tribute to Chadwick Boseman in New ‘Black Panther’ Opening Credits on His Birthday
The world is still mourning the death of “Black Panther” hero Chadwick Boseman who unexpectedly passed away this summer on Aug. 28. This past weekend, the actor would have turned 44 on Sunday, Nov. 29, and to celebrate his legacy and birthday, Disney acknowledged him by displaying new opening credits to the Marvel blockbuster hit “Black Panther” on its streaming platform Disney+.
The executive chairman of The Walt Disney Company, Robert Iger, posted this message in advance to Disney fans.
To all fans of #BlackPanther: watch the film on #DisneyPlus late tonight, for a special tribute to someone that was and will always be near and dear to our hearts.

Boseman was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016 and battled with it for four years as it progressed to stage IV. He died in his home, with his wife and family by his side.
