Before leaving the Summit of the Americas, Obama summarized discussions he held with the presidents of Peru,

He said the summit opened up an opportunity for a frank dialogue about democracy and human rights throughout the hemisphere. He reiterated his commitment to combat drug cartels and the flow of guns between the Mexican and U.S. border.
