McGraw Hill is one of the country’s leading companies providing resources for youth to learn more about science and technology. This week, the company announced that Tarika Barrett, Ph.D., has joined ita board of directors. Dr. Barrett will provide counsel in creating world-class content for its digital learning platforms.
“I have long admired McGraw Hill for the quality of its products and its purpose-driven culture,” Dr. Barrett said in a press statement about her new role. “I am honored to join the board and look forward to working with Larry, Simon, and the other directors to continue to drive innovation that will benefit students and educators.”
Dr. Barrett currently works as the Chief Operating Officer for Girls Who Code, an international nonprofit organization working to close the gender gap in the technology sector including running its Summer Immersion Program and after-school Clubs Program that brings in over 300,000 girls from around the world.
