On Wednesday, October 7, the Clinton campaign announced in a press release,

the launch of the Hillary for Georgia Leadership Council (HFGA LC), a grassroots-driven volunteer team. In short, it will consist of a group of 60 elected officials, students, and leaders from the community that will help lead Clinton to success in the Georgia Primary on March 1. HFGA LC will lead Georgia’s campaign activities by getting new members to join, sharing Clinton’s policies, and by continuing to educate voters on her efforts, which include increasing the wages of the middle class, and reforming healthcare and the criminal justice system.

Lewis’ support is extremely important for Clinton’s campaign. The congressman stated, “I know her heart. We need her leadership. Not just here in America, but all over the world. She is tireless in her advocacy for those who have been left out and left behind. She is ready to be president on day one. Hillary Clinton has my whole-hearted endorsement, and I plan to work and campaign for her to see that she is elected the next president of the United States.”
