The new President of  CNN Jeff Zucker has made some big changes to the network since his arrival. He has hired some new talent to help bolster ratings and axed the morning show “Starting Point”
hosted by Soledad O’Brien.Although it seems that he has the best of intentions to ensure progress and ratings are met, not all are happy about the changes.
Zucker met with the National Association of Black Journalists on Monday to discuss the lack of diversity in his new hires. The President of the NABJ, Gregory H. Lee, Jr., elected to speak to his board of directors before commenting. The National Association of Hispanic Journalists are also aware of Zucker’s decisions and acknowledges the void that will be felt with the departure of O’Brien.
