On the Move: Christine Villanueva Steps Up as New Walton Isaacson SVP, Head of Strategy
Former EVP, Executive Strategy and Analytics Director of McCann New York, Christine Villanueva, Ph.D., has recently accepted the position as SVP, Head of Strategy at ad agency Walton Isaacson, effective immediately.
In her new role, Villanueva will be responsible for all research, insight, analytics, and strategic planning. She is excited about the possibilities presented with the new opportunity.
“I fell in love with Walton Isaacson because of the true diversity I encountered, the kind that celebrates all the ways in which each of us experiences the world we live in. I was born outside of the United States and that immigrant experience adds to my appreciation of variety and of the magic that everyone brings to the table,†Villanueva said in a recent statement.
Villanueva will be reporting to Walton Isaacson President Jeff Davidoff. “Christine’s role is essential to our commitment to innovation and insight driven work,†Davidoff said in a press release. “She is uniquely qualified to take on this leadership role and build on our current strategic strengths as her career has been steeped in both multicultural and broad-based consumer insight work and analytics.â€
Prior to her new role, Villanueva has served as executive vice president, head of planning, research, and analytics at GlobalHue, where she managed a team on high profile projects. Before which, she was a partner, planning director at Ogilvy & Mather where she held several roles within the strategic planning department. She was also the vice president, senior strategic planner for advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi, NYC where she was responsible for innovation strategies.
Now, Villanueva takes her career to the next level with Walton Isaacson. “At Walton Isaacson we say we face the world the way the world faces us,†Davidoff concluded in a statement. “Christine fully gets that and like us is passionate about great insights that lead to great ideas, great work, and great results across consumer segments and cultures.â€
Villanueva is a graduate of Vassar College with a degree and biopsychology and the University of Michigan where she received a master’s and doctorate in Social Psychology.
