A passenger from a disabled Triumph cruise ship sued Carnival on Friday over the ship’s “horrifying” conditions, Reuters reports.
The ship, which lost electricity and air conditioning in an engine room fire on February 10 while cruising the Caribbean, had passengers stranded for four days without power.
The lawsuit filed by Cassie Terry of Brazoria County, claims passengers were forced to wade through human feces from overflowing toilets and alleges that Carnival “failed to provide a seaworthy vessel and sanitary conditions which caused her to suffer physical and emotional harm, including anxiety, nervousness and the loss of the enjoyment of life.”
