WATCH: Former Hot 97 Employee Turns Passion Into Entrepreneurship
Back in August, Hot 97’s Music Director Karlie Hustle resigned from her post in favor of embarking on her own entrepreneurial career.
Since transitioning into the independent grind, the “Hip-Hop Feminist” has partnered with Good Wood to create a line of wooden bow ties that easily catches grind-timers attention. Now, Karlie is looking to share the road to riches through inspirational and educational speaking in the form of YouTube videos.
Directly responsible for getting the rap’s new and hottest stars on the radio via “Who’s Next Live” and the Hot 97 Summer Jam Festival stage, Hustle channels her positive energy into two new videos teaching employees how to quit their job and embark on their own path. As celebrities like Questlove from the Legendary Roots Crew support Karlie’s line of accessories, the 10-year radio veteran comes from a place of wisdom in these two clips (which you can see for yourself below).
The first episode finds the Hustle magnate dropping some ice cold truths when it comes to leaving the 9-to-5 life to work for self. Viewers learn just how she puts things in line for herself to succeed and make an immediate impact. The short clip allows her personality to shine and is definitely worth watching if you’re trying to embark on a journey to freedom and self-reliance.
