Candace Owens Accuses Amazon Workers of Stomping On Her Books and Smearing Vaseline on Them
Candace Owens is back on Twitter with a new complaint.
Over the weekend, the Black conservative pundit accused Amazon workers of “stomping on and in this case, smearing Vaseline” on her latest book before shipping them to the people who purchased them.
Owens, who just released her latest tome, Blackout: How Black America Can Make Its Second Escape from the Democrat Plantation, took to Twitter to complain to the retail giant that she’s been getting complaints from about 1,000 people about receiving her book in not-so-new condition.
Dear @amazon. About 1,000 people have written to let me know that your employees appear to be stomping on and in this case, smearing Vaseline on my books before mailing them. I know it must have pained you to ship out all 90,000 copies you had in stock— but this is unacceptable. pic.twitter.com/ADwXmhJDn5

The pettiness will do nothing to thwart sales. Let’s try to get the next 100,000 that I plan to sell out of your warehouse, treated with a bit more respect by the looney lefties packing the product, please. https://t.co/kC80M2n1ex https://t.co/f18p0KjmX5

Surprisingly, if this was done to help encourage people to buy the book, it may have worked.
@RealCandaceO I don’t normally read. But I’m going to order one anyway.

I don’t read but I will support you by buying the book

Will be buying you a book through Barnes & Noble

Guess I’ll order today! If it arrives in anything but mint condition, I will report and demand another copy!

Ordering your book today. I will let you know how it arrives. This is unacceptable and Amazon needs to apologize to you.

I am proof that this is backfiring on them because it just reminded me that I need to order the book

And possibly the best response:
Dear @amazon this is just Candace’s way of trying to actually get folks to buy her book… please forgive her she’s just craving attention she was hoping for more than 90,000 copies being sold.
