I’ve ever done that I’m proud of.
Nov. 19 saw the rechristening of the Triborough Bridge as the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Bridge. The dedication was the centerpiece of a raft of events celebrating the life and legacy of Robert Kennedy, and his ongoing contribution to the lives of all New Yorkers.
I was at that dedication. And I thought about a man who did so much to shape the person I’ve become, the city I love, and the nation that —- in the wake of Barack Obama’s stunning victory —- I feel especially proud to call my own.
Here’s hoping we continue to dream —- and achieve —- things that never were.
