If you’ve ever taken a stroll through any of the five boroughs in Brooklyn, NY, you know that each neighborhood has its own

sense of style. From innovative designers and runway ready bloggers to an eclectic mix of fashion boutiques–each borough tells it’s own fashion story. With Easter right around the corner, the timing couldn’t be better to promote our “Sunday’s best.”

Every weekend from April 1-May 2 2015, symposiums and lectures from leading designers,

photographers, stylists, models, and publishers of color in the world of fashion will be hosted throughout Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Along with weekly symposiums and fashion shows, Flash Mob Fashion Cocktail events will be hosted to support local businesses.

The concept of  “April is Black Fashion Month” in Brooklyn is the brainchild of Bed-Stuy residents and fashionistas — The Block Association Group. The group will conclude the month with a Fashion 500 Award Ceremony–attracting notable supporters such as “The Big Apple Classic,” L. Londell McMillan (The Source & Jones magazines), Ralph McDaniels (Video Music Box), and celebrity stylist Misa Hylton
