A new report released by the FDIC reveals that 21 percent of African American families don’t have bank accounts.
The survey showed how 821,000 U.S. families lost access to banking from January 2009 to June 2011.
Roughly 10 million U.S. households, about 8.2 percent, have no access to bank accounts, according to the survey.
