Black Enterprise Talks Taxes, Entreprenuership and More on Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club

On Friday, January 30, Black Enterprise’s Senior Vice President/Chief Content Officer Alfred Edmond, Jr. and content producer Courtney Connley stopped by Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club” to dish tips on how professionals, both young and old, can get their finances in order for the New Year.

Often referred to as “The World’s Most Dangerous Morning Show,” Edmond and Connley spoke to hosts Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy about tax season, building a good credit score, early retirement funds and the importance of having an entrepreneurial mind set in today’s job market.

When asked by Charlamagne what should young people invest in, Edmond elaborated on home ownership and entrepreneurship.

“I’m a big believer in entrepreneurship,” said Edmond, co-author of Loving in the Grown Zone: A No Non-sense Guide to Making Healthy Decisions in the Quest for Loving, Romantic Relationships of Honor, Esteem and Respect. “I don’t think it should be I work a certain job and then start a business.”

With conferences such as Black Enterprise’s 2015 Entrepreneur’s Summit, where professionals have a chance to win $10,000 in the elevator pitch competition, Edmond detailed various ways rising entrepreneurs can get funding for their business.
