A person who was once directly connected to singing sensation Beyonce has recently passed away after contracting COVID-19.
According to a post on Instagram from Beyonce’s mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, Craig Adams, who was a personal trainer for Beyoncé and was also a bodyguard for the group, Destiny’s Child, passed away earlier this week after a battle with COVID-19.
With the delta variant of the coronavirus becoming the dominant strain recently, the severity of the coronavirus has also increased and the number of people contracting COVID-19 has intensified greatly over the last several weeks.
According to KHOU, the number of cases that have come in lately in Houston has rapidly risen. A staff memo went out to employees at Houston Methodist recently that details the growing numbers:
- 97 percent of COVID cases in its 8 hospitals from the Delta variant
- 42 percent of hospitalizations between the ages of 25 and 50
- 82 percent of its COVID patients are unvaccinated
“The vaccination prevents severe illness, prevents hospitalization, and again, we want to make sure our hospitals and ERs are open,” Dr. Saldaña said.
