The people of Texas are getting much-needed relief from the recent weather-related troubles that have hit the state from Beyoncé and adidas.
Beyoncé Knowles-Carter is once again opening up her purse to assist those in their time of need. According to Variety, Texas native Beyoncé is offering financial assistance to other Texans who were adversely affected by the recent storm that has crippled the second largest state in the country.
Beyoncé and her nonprofit charity arm, BeyGOOD Foundation, are teaming up with clothing giant adidas and Houston-based disaster relief organization Bread of Life
to offer financial relief to Texans who need it in the midst of Winter Storm Uri.“BeyGood and adidas are working with Bread of Life to bring urgent relief to those suffering as a result of the winter storms. Residents of Texas and other states that have been affected by the storms may apply using the Disaster Relief Assistance
Application Form. Bread of Life will also be accepting donations to help provide assistance to storm victims. People can apply for up to $1,000 by using their Disaster Relief Assistance Application Form.According to People magazine, Texas governor Greg Abbott has put out a warning to the state’s residents on Thursday, including the millions who are without clean drinking water and/or power, to brace for the freezing temperatures, which are anticipated to continue at least through the weekend.
“We are not yet out of this, but we’re closer to this challenge being behind us,” he said. “We will not stop until normalcy is restored to your lives.”
