Sarah Morgan

Sarah Morgan is a practicing HR Executive for 20 years. She currently the Chief Excellence Officer of BuzzARooney LLC, where she provides consulting and coaching surrounding organizational culture, comprehensive health & total wellness benefits, and executive leadership. Sarah also serves as the Senior Director of Human Resources for an international home security provider headquartered in Raleigh NC.

In 2011, Sarah burst on the social media scene as “Buzz Rooney,” with her blog, The Buzz on HR. Eight years later, her pen name is gone -- but her award-winning blog is still going strong with over 10,000 readers each month and nearly 30,000 followers across Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. In 2017, Sarah expanded her brand with her hashtag movements, #BlackBlogsMatter and #BlackPodsMatter, to push conversation surrounding representation, inclusion and equity. Today, she does workshops and keynotes around the country as well as hosts the Leading In Color podcast to talk publicly about creating positive workplace experiences and culture thru diversity, inclusion and social consciousness.

Sarah has Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies with a focus on Organizational Communication and Leadership from the University of Richmond as well as a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management from Strayer University. She is also a wife with a blended family of 5 children, living outside Durham, NC.
