Apple is slated to unveil its next iPhone at a special event on September 10, reports All Things D. The technology website’s report also mentions more details about iOS 7, the next iteration of the iPhone and iPad operating system, will be released at this time.

While Apple has declined to comment on the report, based on previous release patterns and All Things D, an outlet that’s accurately reported Apple launches in the past, there’s a good chance we expect to see a new iPhone model come September 10.

Apple is expected to enhance the current iPhone 5, adding a finger print reader for additional security, faster internals and better optics on its camera. The company is also believed to be working on a more affordable version of the iPhone, dubbed the iPhone 5C. The “C” is believed to stand for colors as reports indicate the plastic model will come in a variety of colors.

If you’re not looking to upgrade to the impending iPhone model, iOS 7 will be available as a

free software update for iPhone 4 and later, iPad 2 and later, iPad mini and the fifth generation iPod touch, reports ABC News.
