Angela Yee has finally been replaced on The Breakfast Club and she’s sending her support to her successor.
Jess Hilarious was announced as the official third co-host on The Breakfast Club on Monday. The announcement came after a year of rotating guest hosts following Yee’s departure at the end of 2022.
Yee, who moved on to host her midday show The Way Up With Angela Yee, congratulated Jess on the latest episode of her show.
“Shout out to Jess Hilarious, they just announced that she is the new third host of The Breakfast Club,” Yee said. “We love Jess Hilarious, so congratulations.”
During the “Shine a Light’ segment around the two-minute mark, Yee gave another supportive shout-out to Jess and her continued rise in entertainment.
“She’s an actress,” Yee’s co-host Jasmine Brand added. They went on to note Jess’ co-starring role in the recent biographical crime film, First Lady of BMF: The Tonesa Welch Story.“She’s got her own podcast, she’s a comedian, we know her from Wild ‘N Out, we know her from her ‘Jess With the Mess.'”
“I just remember feeling, ‘Okay, that was dope.’ But congratulations to her. I know it’s not an easy job,” Yee said.
The Baltimore native has enjoyed a steady climb to the top since making her inception through social media. Along with Wild ‘N Out, Jess’ (real name Jessica Moore) television credits include Rel
, All Def Comedy, I Got The Hook Up 2, and Hip Hop Family Christmas, among others.The Breakfast Club released an official video announcement on on Monday confirming Jess’ addition as the official new co-host.
“I’m looking forward to joining forces with one of the largest media platforms,” Jess Hilarious said in a statement. “I’m confident that taking the third seat at The Breakfast Club will show people that Jess Hilarious is not just comedy, but culture.”
