Amazon has announced the launch of a new online store that’s dedicated to selling a variety of STEM toys and games for children of all ages.
The items, which are geared towards encouraging kids to develop skills in science, technology, engineering and math, is an effort by Amazon to

The goal of the site is to make it easier for parents to discover, search and buy these items from Amazon. The new site, which is live now at Amazon.com/stem, explains what STEM means to those who are unfamiliar, and why the selected toys were chosen for the site. In a Pinterest-like layout with thumbnail images, the toys are grouped into categories like “Tops Picks in Robots & Programming Toys,” “Top Picks in Chemistry & Physics,” and many more. Parents are even able to filter the toys by age range and “Editor’s Picks.”
Amazon’s launch of a STEM toy shop is not the first time the retailer has created an online storefront to meet the growing demands of its consumers. In the past, it launched an “Exclusives” shop that features new innovations, and a “Smart Home” store and a 3D printing store.
