Whatever brings you to Las Vegas, just know there is a lot more to enjoy than pricey drinks and slot machines. BLACK ENTERPRISE was given an inside look into some of the concealed gems and novel experiences that can enhance your Las Vegas adventure. Here are seven takeaways you can incorporate into your next visit to Sin City.
FlyOver
The FlyOver is one of the newer adventure-driven experiences available right along the Las Vegas strip. Curated by renowned attractions and hospitality company Pursuit, this engaging flight experience made its debut this fall and has been captivating guests with its multi-sensory quests. Thrill seekers get a chance to safely glide over the most iconic landscapes and natural wonders of the world including the American West, Iceland, and the Canadian Rockies.
Inspired by the success of Pursuit’s FlyOver attractions in Vancouver, Canada, and Reykjavik, Iceland, the Las Vegas installment includes a distinctive flight ride showcasing the breathtaking beauty of the American West. An attraction for visitors of all ages (minus babies and toddlers) the FlyOver flight ride employs an innovative and advanced moving platform featuring six degrees of motion. With multi-sensory special effects and a colossal 52.5-foot spherical screen, guests are treated to an unmatched journey across iconic destinations and natural landscapes around the world. Special effects like wind, mist, and scents, coupled with the motion of the ride, creates an unforgettable and immersive entertainment experience like no other.
Located right on the Strip next to Hard Rock Café near MGM Grand, Eately and the T-Mobile Arena, prices for FlyOver are cheaper online ($40 to $43) compared to in-person ($62 for adults; $46 for children). The FlyOver includes its own bar that has some of the most affordably-priced drinks on the Las Vegas strip, a plus for those looking to save money on the booze. It’s all indoors and available for your enjoyment year-round.
The Neon Museum
Of course the Neon City has a history that can be told through its iconic neon signs. Since its 1996 inception, The Neon Museum, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, has showcased an exhibition of iconic Las Vegas signs for the purpose of education, history, and enrichment in the arts and culture. The outdoor campus (referred to as the Neon Boneyard) is located within the former La Concha Motel lobby and the Neon Boneyard North Gallery.
With the La Concha Motel being designed by the iconic Black architect, Paul Revere Williams, The Neon Museum prides itself in highlighting diverse history from the greats who played a part in Las Vegas’ majestic history. The Neon Museum accommodates rescued signs from yesteryear and today and is open for weddings, special events, photo shoots, and educational programs.
A Magic Show
Oftentimes our Vegas itinerary is so booked with drinks, parties, or group events that we forget to take part in one of the most historical experiences The Desert Oasis has to offer. The history of magic shows in Las Vegas is deeply intertwined with the city’s evolution into becoming the entertainment capital of the world. Along with residencies, magic has been a staple in Las Vegas since its early days, contributing significantly to the city’s allure and reputation for hosting world-class performances.
BLACK ENTERPRISE had the pleasure of sitting front row at a Nathan Burton magic show, where he wowed the audience with card tricks, escape mechanisms, and more. Moreover, Burton, an America’s Got Talent alumns, is hailed as one of the funniest magicians in Las Vegas and does a great job at bringing on the laughs along with the wow factor. Located inside the FlyOver, guests can enjoy a virtual sky gliding experience before or after 70 minutes of magic with the Las Vegas illusionist of the year. Tickets range in price from $22 to $52.
The Mob Museum
Many often overlook the mob ties of Las Vegas and how organized crime helped set the stage for the Las Vegas we all know and love today. Get a deeper look inside Las Vegas’ grim history at The Mob Museum: The National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement. Located in downtown Las Vegas, the museum seeks to advance the public understanding of organized crime’s history and impact on American society. It offers a provocative, contemporary look at these topics through hundreds and immersive exhibits that include classic mug shot lineups, documentary films, and the actual courtroom where many of the early mob trials took place.

Shark Reef At Mandalay Bay

Las Vegas is renowned for some of the best dining experiences in the country. Top chefs from all around the world have dreams of opening up a restaurant in Sin City. While many eateries come and go there are some fine dining experiences still available to enjoy. During our visit, BLACK ENTERPRISE enjoyed dinner at Superfrico inside The Cosmopolitan. The restaurant’s Italian cuisine is just as good as the experience you’ll have while eating. Guests enjoy random performances throughout the night from staff that get their fix dressing in wild costumes and lip syncing to pop and funk classics from past to present.
Sadelle’s Cafe inside the Bellagio Conservatory is the perfect restaurant for breakfast or brunch. The swanky all-day eatery serves creative American cuisine nad cocktails for guests overlooking Bellagio’s casino garden. Din Tai Fung located inside the ARIA resort and casino specializes in delicious Taiwanese fare and specialty dumplings. Served family style, the Asian fusion eatery is perfect for groups.
Retro by Voltaggio located inside Mandalay Bay pays homage to the 80s and 90s in the most fun way. Guests enjoy music from the past while taking a trip down memory lane with nostalgic wall decor stacked with Uno playing cards, 90s candy, and VHS tapes. Eataly is the perfect quick stop for Italian food lovers within the MGM Grand. For those spending time in Downtown Las Vegas (or the old side of Vegas as many call it) stop by 8 East located inside the Circa Resort and Casino. Guests enjoy eclectic Asian dishes in a streamlined restaurant with an open kitchen concept.
