The Roc Nation boss gave CBS anchor Gayle King the answer: “You’ve gotta take the money,” he said, CBS News reports.

The platinum-selling rapper and media mogul sat down with King for a rare two-part interview airing on “CBS This

“You’ve got all that in the music for $10.99,” he continues. “It’s all there. If you piece it together and really listen to the music for the words, well, what it is, it’s all there.”

Jay-Z took King on a tour of the “The Book of HOV” exhibit at the Brooklyn Public Library, an exhibit honoring the billionaire’s body of work, including his original master recordings, and paying homage to his business ventures and efforts toward reform of the criminal justice system.

During the interview, according to People,

Carter called his music the “blueprint to his life.” “Everything that I said was going to happen, happened,” the rapper and producer said.

“Everything that I said I wanted to do, I’ve done, and there’s the blueprint. The blueprint — literally — to me and my life and my journey is there already.”

The question of which choice people would make often sparks debates between fans on social media. A fan can be heard on video approaching Jay-Z, saying he would take the money but still respects him.

“Hey Hov, I’m taking that $500K,” the fan says. “I’m not taking that dinner; I’m taking that $500K, you feel me? It’s love, though.”

The full interview will air on Oct. 26. and 27 on CBS.
