Universal Records has announced that the first video released by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has just reached a milestone that only one other hip-hop record of its time has achieved. The song, “In Da Club,” which debuted off his first album, Get Rich or Die Tryin’ (Shady/G-Unit/Aftermath/Interscope/UMe) is now officially part of YouTube’s Billion Views Club.

With the announcement of this feat, Universal has also released the music video for “In Da Club,” which features label mates Eminem and Dr. Dre, in 4K, which was fully restored from the original film. The renewed video can be viewed here.

The video, which has reached 1 billion views on

YouTube, is the second rap/hip-hop music video from the pre-YouTube era to achieve this milestone. The first video is from his mentor and the person who discovered and signed him to Shady Records, Eminem. The video and song, “Without You,” was produced by Aftermath label owner and legendary NWA producer Dr. Dre, who
also did the honors for “In Da Club.” 50 Cent joins a diverse and elite group of artists from this era to do the same, which includes Nirvana, Queen, Guns N’ Roses, Whitney Houston
, The Cranberries, Linkin Park, and a-ha.

50 Cent is also a successful businessman and entrepreneur which encompasses a broad spectrum of businesses including Sire Spirits, which Jackson formed in 2016, and a luxury wine and spirits company that owns Le Chemin du Roi Champagne and Branson Cognac.

Back in April of this year, the Queens-born and bred artist released his second New York Times bestselling self-help book Hustle Harder, Hustle Smarter.
