Barnett Auto Group is the nation’s 35th largest African American-owned dealership; and the Lone Star state’s fourth largest minority-owned dealership. The Houston-based company operates three dealerships throughout Texas including Paris Ford Lincoln, Baytown Hyundai, Gorman-McCracken Mazda and Volkswagen.
Since 1994, Carl L. Barnett Sr. has served as president of the 100% black-owned auto group. Up eight places on the 2009 BE Auto Dealers list, the dealership grossed $47.7million in revenues in 2008–down 12.6% from last year.
