While the idea of looking for employment via your phone is a new concept to many, below are three job search apps that operate similar to some of your favorite online dating apps and games apk files.
1. Switch: Referred to as the new Tinder of job searching, Switch allows you to browse through available job listings and swipe right if you’re interested in a position and left if you want to pass. Hiring managers do the same activity on potential candidate profiles and when there’s a match, both Switch users are notified.
2. Poachable: Launched by a group of ex-Microsoft, Google and Amazon employees, Poachable is another app that’s being compared to Tinder, where you enter your desired job, location, credentials, and current employer and then the site matches you to potential employers who are looking for candidates like you. A month after the app was launched in 2014, it had over 2,000 registered users including 1,000 people in the tech industry.
3. Jobr: Jobr is a mobile job search app that pulls your work history, picture and profile directly from your LinkedIn. Each position posted on the app has a profile page with details about the company, the job requirements, how many of your contacts work there and which job skills match those you have. If you see a position that you’re interested in swipe right, if you’re not interested then swipe left.
