21 Black-owned Products You Need In 2021 and Beyond

Last January when I wrote 20 Millennial Black Women Owned Female Businesses to Support In 2020, there was no way to predict the severity of COVID or the strengthening of the Black Lives Matter movement upon the murder of another innocent Black life. George Floyd’s death spurred a focus on supporting Blacks, and for the first time, it felt like maybe, just maybe, we were finally being seen and heard.

The pandemic, however, has hurt Black-owned businesses more than any other race, according to Bloomberg, with a 41% decline of Black owners from February to April 2020 alone. We must continue to support, not just in economic crisis or after a horrific video goes viral, but simply because Black-owned businesses are amazing and creating high quality products that we need in our homes.
