Generation Z–if you are at the age where you can read this, read closely. You guys, those born between 1995 and 2015, currently make up about 25% of the population, which means a lot is riding on you.
The first batch of Gen Zers are currently leaving school and heading into the labor market, but it appears the goals of generations are steadily shifting. According to a recent study from Northeastern University, 81% of Generation Z respondents believe a college education to be extremely important, thus, they are gaining more advanced education.
However, during and after gaining this education, many Gen Zers are focusing less on income for wealth building, and are more focused on gaining income to avoid debt. This generation places heavy emphasis on smart saving strategies and early planning.
This generation also places heavy emphasis on tech. Gen Zers are born and developed with the internet and technology at their fingertips. When looking to enter the job market, not much changes.
