Celebrity couple Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker recently released their new fitness app, KoFit, helping folks stay fit with their family, without sacrificing their time. The app features simple practices that take as little as five minutes a day to execute and allows the entire family to get involved.
The app teaches exercises and meditations led by the fit couple. They have also solicited help from Boris’ brother Pat—a certified personal trainer—and his wife, who has practiced yoga for over 20 years. The Kodjoe-Parker children are also featured in the app.
“When we looked at the market and all these different workout apps, there’s one thing we never saw…we never saw any children. Children are most affected by obesity in this country. Seventy-five percent of kids are overweight or obese,” said Kodjoe during the Essence Festival.
“We take the mystery out of fitness and nutrition,” Boris stated on the site. “There is so much information out there about diets and workout regimens, that it’s intimidating, it keeps you on the couch.” None of our workouts are longer than 20 minutes and you can do them at home or on the road or with family.”
The app is available to download in the Apple and Google Play store with a 30-day free trial. After the trial expires, users pay a monthly fee of $9.99. KoFit also features videos on fitness motivation, nutrition advice, and guided workouts.
