What is your “Extraordinary Impact?”
I’m a Christian DJ that has a weekly show in the biggest hip-hop station in the world (Hot 97). We made history by having a CHH/Urban Gospel show on a platform like that. I’m still in awe at what Jesus did for me to be a part of it. I receive countless testimonies from people all over on how the show is blessing them. We also have made some artists’ dreams come true. All glory to God.
What does being one of the BEMM 100 Men of Distinction mean to you?
It is such an honor beyond words to be recognized from such a highly esteemed organization.
What are some examples of how you turned struggle into success?
When I lost my dad and my job on the same day. I did not let that stop me from doing what I know GOD had given me to do. Also after going through a divorce from my ex-wife, I would not let the pain of what I thought was failure stop me from pursuing a positive relationship with a woman. I’m now married again and looking forward to enjoying life with her.
What is an important quality you look for in your relationships with others?
Honesty is the most important to me. Without it there is no trust. You never want to be in a relationship with someone you cannot trust.
What are some immediate projects you are working on?
I’m working on building the brand through other platforms such as online, TV, and live events. There is room for growth and I intend to grow.
What is the best advice you ever received?
There is so much advice that I get because I listen and watch. But one thing that comes to mind is when people show you who they are, believe them.
What is some advice you have for other men who want to make a difference?
We all want to be recognized for who we are or something we do, but, when you seek God, you don’t waste time chasing stuff that doesn’t matter. Time is something you can never get back.
How do you prep for an important business meeting and/or event?
I spend some quiet time alone with God and my thoughts, and just try to relax. If I’m playing an event I like to listen to music to try to get a feel of the atmosphere.
As a busy Modern Man, how do you unwind on vacation? Share a story about your best vacation.
One of my best vacations was with my wife when we went on our church retreat to the Dominican Republic. I got a chance to enjoy the time with her as well as play at a club on the resort. It was great.
If you could travel and stay anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
I like to travel. I don’t have a specific place but I enjoy warm weather and beaches. The world is full of places like that so I welcome the opportunity to explore and enjoy as many as I can.

Thank you for the opportunity to share a little of my journey. I hope this will encourage the reader to seek God in a deeper way, and live out the purpose and plan for their lives.
